Bono’s Acceptance Speech at the NAACP Image Awards Ceremony on 2 March 2007

“Today the world looks again to the NAACP,” said Bono. “We need the community that taught the world about civil rights to teach it something about human rights.” Bono was honoured by the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) with its Chairman’s Award at the ceremony in California.
